Lucy first came into our lives when she was 7 months old. A Lab Rescue dog and who rescued us. She gave us nearly 11 years of joy,
loyalty and unconditional love.
In the wee hours on June 30th, by my bed, she suddenly left this earth. When I realized she was going, I cradled her head, hugged her and like to think she was with me when I told her I loved her and would miss her. The signs of heart failure were there, but I just didn’t know it and I will always wonder if she would be alive today for another year
if I had paid attention.
There is no dog that will replace her. I like to think she had a good life with us and time may heal but we will never forget our Lucy girl and the countless joy she gave us.
