Tigger by Eileen, George, and Matthew / Eileen. George, and Matthew your loving family

My mother died in January of 2000. My father died on September 15, 2000. After my father died, I needed someone to love and take care of and fill the emptiness in my heart. I saw Tigger at Citizens for Animal Protection in PetSmart in Houston. She was 8 years old and she was so scared in that cage. I told her I would be back for her.

Tigger was a sweet soul. She would always want to be near one of us or better yet, on a lap. She would tap me with her paw to let me know she wanted to be petted. She would curl her paw around my hand and bring it ot her head. She’d roll on her back and expose her chubby belly so I would pet her tummy.

I called her my little girl and she was such a sweet little girl. She weighed over 12 lbs. and lost almost half her weight. The vet was stumped and I tried to get her weight up. I didn’t know that she had a brain tumor. On the Thursday before she died, she was slumped on the kitchen floor and could hardly walk. Even so, she got up the stairs, which I had to block so she wouldn’t hurt herself. Her last day with me she fell in the litter box and looked so embarrassed. I had to hold her up in the litter and then wipe her clean.

I brought her to the vet and he put her down. She was in great pain that last day and meowed to tell me so. The vet gave her a sedative shot and told her that’s the last thing that will hurt her. He made an impression in clay of her paw print and had her cremated. I have her ashes and paw print. I love Tigger and I miss her so much. God bless you my little girl. I love you and we will be together once again.

Love forever,
Tigger
