On 3-15-2007 our lives changed forever. Sam was like our child and we loved him very much. He loved the ocean and being in the car. He never cared where we were going as long as he was with us. He enjoyed eating and taking naps. He loved everyone he ever met (except for cats, he was afraid of them). He loved to swim in the ocean and the bay and even liked getting a bath. He was very gentle and loving dog. He loved his sister Maggie May. She is a chihuahua mix that we adopted 11 years ago from a rescue for abused animals. She has been lost without him.
We are still trying to accept what has happened to him. He was so full of life and now he is in the ground way too soon. Our family will never be the same. He was an incredible dog, one in a million. He ate the recalled dog food and we did everything to save him. We are not buying any dog food for Maggie. We have been cooking for her and we hope that everyone will start cooking for their dogs too. Know what you are feeding your pets. You can’t trust many of the pet food companies and our pets trust us to take care of them. My prayers are with everyone who has lost their pets because of the poisoned food.
We will all keep them in our hearts forever. Cherish every moment you have with them. They don’t get enough time with us. God be with you Sam, we will always love you.
We love you Sammy RIP,
Sam |
