Harvard by Denise Basteiro / Mom

Harvard was my neighbor’s doggie as a little puppy in Texas. The no longer wanted him so they decided to throw him on the side of the road and I rescued him from that fate by telling the neighbors I would take him. I took him home the next morning. I washed him up and got him all of his own toys, bowels and bedding. Not to long after Harvard joined our little family we moved to Colorado. Harvard had 10 good years in Colorado when he came down with a pancreas problem and
God called him back.

The doctor and I tried to save Harvard for 6 days. On the 6th day I went into the vet held Harv in my arms and told him I loved him. I also told him if he needed to move on so as not to hurt any longer that I would understand. Ten minutes later Harvard Dog went back to God. I hugged him and kissed his soft little ears put him down on the table and fell on the floor crying. I love my animals and pray God will keep them for me until I can join them.

I love you Harv.
