Well here goes the story of our Vega dog. I have another dog (Chevy-Fat boy) that we have had for about 6 years now and I love him dearly, but he is an older dog and I really wanted a puppy. So I continued to bug my husband for another dog and finally a friend of our’s dog had puppies and my husband made the mistake of coming home from his house telling me about all the little chihuahua puppies running around over there and first thing the next day we went out to the pet store to buy puppy supplies because my husband knew if he took me over there I was going to want one of the puppies so we went prepared. I was so in love with all the puppies but when I picked up Vega; he nuzzled right into my neck and I knew he was the puppy for me. He chose me to be his next mommy and from that moment
on we were together everyday of our lives.
Chevy wasn’t too sure what to make of Vega or if he was comfortable with him being here, but they turned out to be great brother’s and loved playing together. We have tried several times to have other dogs with Chevy but he wasn’t having any of that until we brought Vega home, so right from the start we knew that Vega
was meant to be a part of our family.
He was just the sweetest little dog ever. He was so much fun to be around and brought a smile to my face everyday. He was such a good boy, too. He never chewed anything up, learn to go pee pee outside in just 2 weeks and was the most loving dog I ever met in my life. I work from home so we were hardly ever apart, being at home is so hard for mommy now “punk” because you’re no longer here. Every time I do something I find myself turning around & looking for you to be right behind me but you’re not there and it hurts so bad!!
He was the first dog I ever known to lay & bite his toenails, catch bugs in mid flight & play with them; run through our yard at lightening fast speed (has been clocked at 30 mph); follow mommy no matter where I was going and give unconditional love to everyone.
Vega was one special little dog and he will forever remain in our hearts and memories. We love and miss you so much Vega (Punk-a-Dunk)you be sure to wait for us at the rainbow bridge my boy.
Until we meet again my boy,
Vega "Punk" Murphy |
