Belle was the most amazing dog ever. We were all but happy to comply with her diva demands. Not a day passed that she wasn’t completely pampered. She could not be without her home-cooked meals and fluffy down pillow. She always got yummy belly rubs and ear scratches.
Her greatest joys were talking walks in the park and terrorizing the neighborhood cats. She protected her family the best way she knew how. Whenever I felt ill, she made sure to nudge me with her wet nose and give me the most amazing (and smelly) kisses. She always kept my feet warm in the winter and never let me do yoga in front of her.
She let me paint her nails pink and listened to me whenever I complained about this or that. The love she gave us could never have been repaid but we sure tried.
