Rottweiler
I rescued boomer from a pet store when he was either 6 or 7
weeks old. A couple purchased him and their landlord wouldn’t let them keep
him so they took my beloved Boomer to the pet store where my sister-in-law
was the manager. My sister-in-law called me because she knew I would fall in
love with him and I did just that.
My husband and I took Boomer to our home and loved and spoiled him.
Boomer loved all the children. He was trained well. He never left our
property and was so well behaved and loving. He was just a baby doll. He
would sit his rump on the couch and his front paws would be flat on the
floor sat there just like a human. He followed me wherever I went. He would
wait at the restroom door for me to come out. Every night he would lay his
head on my bed so I could pet and talk to him before we went to sleep.
On a Friday I noticed he wasn’t eating but he was still perky with me. On
Saturday morning when I awoke I noticed a drastic change in him. He could
barely walk and his eyes and skin had turned yellow. I rushed him to the vet
to find out that my beloved Boomer had been poisoned. The vet kept him and
said they would keep in touch with me throught the night but they didn’t.
Early Sunday morning I was called in to make a decision and there was no
decision to make. My boomer was lying there unable to move any part of his
body except for his eyes. His beautiful brown eyes looked at me with his
tongue hanging out unable to put it in his mouth. The vet gave me all the
time with him I wanted but after a minuteI had to tell them to put him
down. I could not bare to see him suffer like that. He couldn’t hardly
breath. Boomer passed away before all the medicine was administered in him.
I believe boomer was waiting for me before he passed away. He knew I needed
to see him and I know he needed to see me.
He can never be replaced in my heart. He died before he
turned 4 years of age. It was said that if a piece of meat with poison it
it was thrown at him depending on the poison it was
it could take up to five weeks to kill him.
Now boomer is in peace
but his little friend Rocky a mixed chocolate lab misses him so much also.
Boomer will never be forgotten.
I love him so much
