It’s been one month since that terrible day when we had to make one of the saddest decisions in our lives. Happy New Year! Nothing happy about it. We had to put our dog, Borus down. He woke up early the morning of December 31, 2006, in awful discomfort. He was gagging and throwing up white foam. We rushed him to the vet, who told us that we had to make a choice. But there really wasn’t one, he was 14 years old and would probably not survive the surgery.
We made the decision that had to be made. Borus was our kids(21,18,& 17)friend, always there to listen for 14 years. We miss him every day. Our house is so empty without him. We have a memorial outside our house with 2 candles burning, a picture, wreath and messages of love. Somewhere we can all go and remember Borus.
It hurts as much to-day as it did that terrible day. We keep trying to think of more ways to express our remembrance and show him that we haven’t forgot about him, but all we really want is to pet him one last time and tell him how much we love him and miss him.
Forever in our Hearts,
Borus |
