Hamster
In your eyes I saw the pain,
And I wish I could have helped.
You now have a better life,
Though I wish I could be there.
You lived a life full of suffering,
And yet you pleased everyone.
Your fur became stiff,
And your world turned black,
And I come home to find you
Laying silently under your friend,
His eyes full of pain and sadness.
He knows his friend is gone now,
And how he wishes he knew,
Why his best friend left him
Without giving him a clue.
So I write this poem in tribute to you
I want you to know,
Your a part of me too.
