As the days pass me by, I think of all the things we shared together. The friday dates to town for a special treat at dairy queen and burger king. Saving you all my crusts off the pizzas.
The 5 holes in the wall I will never forget! That’s when I knew, you would always protect me. You had good vibes on that guy.
The day I made you wear a leash in the yard and you saw fester and took me for a ride. And all our special times you enjoyed riding in the car with the top down. Even though you sat in the back, your paws were in the front, always touching me.
Playing with all the animals we had, making sure everyone was where they should be. The night you and Buster had a fire in the dog house, and yunz sat there and watched it burn. All the times grandpa would come to sit with you when we would go away, and you use to give him BIG hugs he would say.
I remember each day coming home and seeing you laying on the porch waiting for me, as I would sign to you, “I LOVE YOU”. And you helping me in my garden every year. I know how much you loved to roll in my flowers. I use to like it when you ran in your sleep on the couch, chasing fester I’m sure!
Since you’ve left the house the other night, things just aren’t the same around here Babah. The boys BATMAN and Joe Dirt still look for you and Brittney cries for you. They just don’t know what to do or where you are. As for me, I’m sure you know how I’ve been. Thank god for your dad.
Soon we will have your ashes with us and you know I got you the best urn I could find. Once again you will be home.
But please remember what I told you when we said our goodbyes. Only you know and I know.
Someday I’ll take out the video. And see your face and hear you bark, once again.
