Cookie,
you were the best pet anyone could ever have. You were also my best friend. We grew up together and so I will never have the same bond with a pet that I had with you. I miss you so much. I still have to stop myself from calling out your name and remind myself that you are really gone. Your dish is still out full of water and your toys are still lying around. I just can’t quite let you go. It will take some time but every time I feel the tears start to roll I just have to remember that when the time comes, you will be the first one waiting for me wagging your tail and jumping up to get into my arms, just like you always have.
