” Apollo “
April 6 1992 —– July 29 2001
Boxer
I got Apollo when he was not quite 6 weeks old.
He was the best puppy.
He trained so well and was the most loving and attentive dog.
Boxers are noted for tumors and
he has had his share removed over the past nine years.
They were all benign. The worse shock came three weeks ago
when we took him to the vet because he was limping.
We just thought it was arthritis but after x-rays
it was found that he has cancer in the bone of his front leg
and it has gone into the right lung lobe.
Needless to say we are devastated.
I just can’t imagine not having him here in my life and
I’m not dealing with this real well.
He still is eating drinking and is still alert.
We know though it is only a matter of time before we have to make
the decision that will be our one last act of love for Apollo.
Right now we show him all the attention we possible can and
are making sure his last weeks are quality time with us.
We will have him cremated to keep him close by.
This wonderful dog has been my best friend for 9 years.
Everyone and anyone who has had the pleasure
of meeting him has fallen in love with him and
he will be greatly missed by all.
