MandyGirl came into our lives right after we were married. My husband didn’t know that I was bringing her into the house while he was gone. But MandyGirl, you fell right into it, didn’t ya??? Soon you were my constant companion and shadow. YOu went along with everything that we wanted you to do. You watched after me and your daddy
with a heart of pure gold.
I remember you riding in the boat with us. Your fur and tail just held just so in the wind. We called you our sentinel. You loved to go with us and it didn’t matter where or when. You loved walks and chasing those pesky ole squirrels. YOur love of life was as big as anything I have ever seen. Nothing was beyond you my ole girl. You would figure it out and then say…Okay Mama..let’s do it.
You were quite a gal. Always so knowing and so kind. You loved kids. I have seen strange kids walk up to and put their arms around you and you would just stand there. Even when you got old and felt so bad, you would just stand there and let them love you.
You were so gallant and so brave.
Then you took sick one day and we let you go home. We saw you on your journey and told you that part of us went with you. WE haven’t forgotten you, girl. I visit your grave and say hello from my heart to yours. I know that you are still watching over us and loving us. We did finally get a pup to fill the gap and I think I see you smiling in heaven. I can hear you telling that pup right now..Watch after my Mama and My Daddy, they are precious to me.
