Ellie was given a new home on June 1st, 1994 when Dad found her at the age of 1 in an add she had put out to have me take her away from a bad neighborhood. This was the best present Dad ever received. She kept him company in his new home and on a couple of occasions when the heat didn’t want to come on kept him warm until the power came back on. The first couple of years when Dad worked 3rd shift Ellie would play with her toys until Dad came home and played for hours.

Ellie loved to run and play at the local doggypark and loved to play with her cousin Alex who is now playing with her in at the rainbow bridge. She loved sitting in front of the furnace fan which was very hot but that is what she liked to do! Ellie then moved down to South Carolina with Dad and there she had her heat year round and other than the occasional bug here and there who bothered her, she loved it!

Ellie was a world traveler, she road with Dad a couple of times back to Wisconsin and even flew on a plane! Ellie was a friend to everybody who ever met her, she loved getting her belly rubbed and her paws tickled and loved sitting on your lap or next to you on a chair all day!

Ellie met Mom in 2000 and kept her company the first week she met her while Dad was off at school. Mom was new to the area so Ellie showed her the area! After 4 years in South Carolina, Ellie, Dad, and Mom came home to Wisconsin where Ellie was closer to all her cousins and other members of her family. There are so many funny things that Ellie did that made everyone laugh but just being a special pal was her best quality! Going up north to se Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Tony were special times for her because she didn’t have to be on her leash and she could run, and sometimes even swim!

As Ellie got older she didn’t seem to slow down, she always seemed to run around like she was 2 but she really was 13! Then came Ellie’s sisters Olivia and Addison which kept her on her paws as she had to dodge them all the time but she got use to them after Olivia would drop a treat here and there and after awhile they were best buddies! Ellie was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2005 and the vet said that her heart was almost 1/2 the size of her 16 pound body. Even though she had that disease she never stopped being your best friend and always had time for you.

Mother’s Day 2006 was Ellie’s last day with us and was a very sad day for everyone. But we all know that Ellie is not hurting anymore, playing with all her cousins and we can’t wait for the day when we all see her big eyes and that unique white spot on her brown belly! Our little friend with a big heart will always be in our hearts.

We will never forget you!
