Dear little Shadow,
You were the sweetest most loving little bunny ever. You thought you were a puppy, you hopped around the garden climbing up everyone’s legs to be picked up and cuddled, you loved your family and
we all loved you.
Your nature was so loving you liked nothing better that to sit on my lap and have you floppy ears tickled.
Then one day you didn;t seem your normal happy little self so we took you to see Kate at the veterinary practice. They did lots of tests on you, and you were so brave but you had something wrong with your blood and Kate, the vet couldn;t make you better. We didn’t want you to suffer so we asked her to gently send you to sleep.
Laura was with you until the end and then she brought you home to me, I remember I sat with you in my arms without moving for three hours cuddling you and telling you how much I loved you.
My heart was broken it all happened so quickly, I could’t imagine not seeing your little black body hopping up and down the garden, stopping to sniff at the bushes.
We buried you under a rose bush in our garden, and you have an angel sitting on the garden watching over you.
Sleep peacefully Sweet Shadow,
Barney has come to join you
and Ben and Blue now.
I know that Barney and you
are the brightest stars
in the sky watching down on us.
I will love you and carry you
in my heart forever.
