Precious was the cutest little tiny puppy I had ever seen in my life. I knew that she would be the one that would come home with me the minute that she came over and tugged at my shoelace. She was such a fun puppy and we bonded from day one. We were like bookends…one without the other was not an option. Wherever I went she followed..she had ways of telling me what she wanted.
Different whines or barks for each different thing. So we understood each other very well. She even knew what I was talking about when i spoke with her. She would hear a dog bark, look at me then I would say…the dog is on the tv. So she would run over to the tv stand on her hind legs and look right into it and bark back.
She was fun. If I would come home and say, I have a present for you…she would start jumping up and down and getting sooooooooo excited…she knew what that meant. That is only a small amount of things that she knew..she was a very smart dog…
more like a little person.
She was great with other dogs..any dog that came in to join our family she welcomed..she loved all people. She just loved life! Unfortunately in October of 1998 she was diagnosed with bladder cancer…I found out on Halloween to be exact. I had her on medications and better food. I researched the cancer to see if there were any way to save her, since it couldn’t be removed. I couldn’t find a thing. She lived the last year
of her life very happily.
Towards the end I could see the life being sucked away from her eyes..it was as if she were in another world..but she still wanted to play and run. Then the day came when I knew she was starting to suffer and I didn’t want that for her. So I took her to the vet on December 22nd..1999. It was on that day we had to say goodbye. It broke my heart that day and still does 6 years later. You do get through it…but in my case
I really never got over it.
She was my baby…my little girl..my little love…how can I not miss her still and love her just as much. She will forever be in my heart.
