I Pray with Both Paws Facing
I pray with both paws facing
To the loving creator above
For all animals today
To know your love
To have Mums and Dads
Who treat them well
Who they can be proud of
And make their hearts swell
Feed them loads of goodies
But not to much
Take them for loads of walks
To help feed the ducks
Let them supervise when you do things
And give a helpful paw
Cause their intelligent beings
And knowledge they want more
Comfort for them late at night
And when they don’t feel well
Let them know their in your sight
And in your heart they dwell
Bring them back, when their time is done
With comfort and with joy
Heal their wounds and make them good
Give them a favourite toy.
All in all, I wish them this
The animals of this world
That they have good parents just like I did
The pick of the litter, the pearls.
