A Dogs Paw Prayer
Today I pray for a master kind and caring
With toys and walks galore
Tones of love and cuddles we can be sharing
Who holds and shakes my paw
Someone I can look up to
An alpha pair no doubt
Nice voices and pleasure to do
All things to a large amount
A comfy bed in the corner
My food in a nice china bowl
Water galore to paddles some more
These are to be my goals
No embarrassing names to shout
My ears would go back in shock
To be called Doodles, Dunkies, my bean sprout
Outside Id be mocked
Someone to share my life with
Another pet, even a cat
Or pals up the road in which I can dive
Snout first into some ……………… grass
After years of loving cuddles
I wish only one thing more
Never allow me to struggle
And suffer; let me go to Gods door
It’s ok when I go away
I won’t be far ahead
Waiting by until the day
Over the rainbow bridge your led
Then all us pets will come running
Dog, cats, horses, snakes and bees
Over for cuddles and loving
Bringing you to your knees
Then we’ll all wonder off together
In the warmth of heavens meadows
Fur, pelt, skin and feather
To adventures of which only God knows
