I brought Oscar home when he was 7 weeks old and was the light of our lives. That teething stage I can’t tell you how many comforters and baby gates he chewed up but it just didn’t matter. My little boy should grow up with a dog and this was his brother. Wherever my son went Oscar was usually attached but at the end of my bed is where he slept. When he was 6 months old we got him a kitten, now that took a bit of getting used too. They just loved each other so much.
I am so grateful that Oscar lived for 15 yrs and 3 months without ever being sick. Two weeks ago he really slowed down, wouldn’t touch the dogfood so being a concerned mommy I cooked for him. Each day he withdrew more I took him to the vet and they said age had him.
I brought him home for 3 days and when he wouldn’t eat I knew he was tired and just wanted to sleep, so we went to the vet, and my son who is 17 now was devastated as I, but I held him in my arms and kissed him and told him to go and rest. As I sit here now I feel his presence sitting next to me by the computer.
Oscar you will always be loved,
