I met Rascal Lee for the first time in the yard of my mother’s husband to be. He was a tan colored pomeranian, and he was very happy to meet me. He already had a few years under his belt, and yet he was full of life. I immediately fell in love this bushy little fur-ball from the start. Little did I know that his dad would one day ask my mom to marry him. So, less then a year later, along with a new step-dad, i had a new step-pom. It took us time to get used to each other, but once we clicked, we had much fun. Meal time was never lonely, he always enjoyed a good movie, and if the weather wasn’t too warm, a nice stroll around the block was just the thing we loved to enjoy.

He didn’t like the hot weather, with his fuzzy coat and all. He was used to living in snow, (Oklahoma), but the city life suited him well. He grew to be my baby. My bushy butted little native american boy from Snow, Oklahoma, Or bushy, for short. The day came when he wasn’t going to be the only baby in the house. I was expecting. Rascal Lee, bushy butt, helped me through all the bad times and shared in the excitement of the good ones. He went above and beyond the call of duty, turning into the best guardian angel I could ever have hoped for.

My son grew to love him as much as I did. I must admit that I was mad that he left us in February 04′. But I know that he is where he truly belongs and that he is waiting for us in heaven. My son still asks where Rascal is, when he is coming back, and is he looking at us from heaven, and as a shooting star falls across the sky, the only thing
I can tell him is yes, son.

Rasc is up in heaven right now watching us, and he is waiting for the day that he can be with his family again, until then the only thing we can is hold him in our hearts, and hope that they season all his food properly, just like he likes it.
