I found her in a Pennysaver ad; a beautiful
9 month old female German Shorthair Pointer
named “Brandy”.
I knew nothing about hunting breeds.
I didn’t even know she was pregnant.
I went to the humane society at lunch and took
her home. I put her in the house with my other dog,
a Schnauzer, and went back to work.
That was the first day of the best thing that
ever happened to me.
Brandy was the best dog in the whole world,
she was with us for 17 years.
Ever faithful, ever loving.
It’s been six years and never a day goes by that
I don’t think of her.
I miss her so…
