Beloved Caesar…
Eyes no longer clear and bright
Ears that no longer hear.
Tabby fur that’s lost its sheen
Joy of life has become fear.
Once feared now fearful.
Once swift now weak and slow.
Long days spent prone in pain.
Age has become his foe.
Death approaches for sweet release
Relief from pain and strife.
Sad to leave but time to go
An end to a precious life.
Now at peace no longer here
But memories will never end.
Always loved and in our hearts
Forever remembered beloved friend.
