Rottweiler

Craig brought Caine home on March 16 2001

for me & his daughter Skylar.

He was the sweetest dog I have ever met.

He loved Skylar (2yrs. old) & was so gentle & very

protective over her.

He was only a few months old but acted like he was full grown.

I am unable to have children & he acted just like a child to me.

On June 13 he started throwing up & on the 14th I took

him to the vet & he tested positive for Parvo.

He was due for his 2nd shot but the vet told us that Rottie’s

are prone to get Parvo even if they are several years old & have had

ALL of their shots.

We took our 2 other dogs & had them tested on the 16th &

they were negative. We saw Caine on the 16th but we couldn’t touch

him because he was so contagious.

He was so happy to see us & I just cried.

He looked good & they told us we would be able to take him

home in a couple of days.

They checked on him 3 times on Sunday the 17th.

He was tired but still doing good.

When they came in on Monday Caine was gone.

Tim the tech that took care of Caine was wonderful & very upset,

Tim just knew we would be taking Caine home soon.

He said that it appeared that Caine just laid down & went to sleep

& did not wake up. He past peacefully thank God.

We think about Caine everyday & many days I cry when I

think about him. We only had him for a few months

but from day one he took hold of our hearts & has never let go.

Everyone that met Caine fell in love with him.

He is greatly missed by many. We now have a 14 week old kitten

named “Baby” & it seems that Caine is living in “Baby”.

There are so many things that Baby does that Caine did.

He plays with the same toys of Skylar’s that Caine did.

He wakes Sky up & is upset when she isn’t there

Caine was the same way.

He loves to play rough with Craig but no one else just like Caine.

Baby will not stay in a room by himself & neither would Caine.

They both follow you everywhere.

It may be coincidence that they are just alike but maybe it

is Caine just making sure that we don’t forget about him,

but that we do move on & are happy.

We love & miss you very

much Caine.

Julie and Craig
