I HEAR SOMETHING

I hear something…
I strain my ears
but it is not from outside.

I hear something…
I take a deep breath
and listen again.

I hear something…
I concentrate and realize
the sound I hear is inside.

I hear something…
I’m afraid to know
but I remember how it began.

I hear something…
It is the sound
of a shattered heart.

I hear something…
It is the sound of tears
streaming down my face.

This poem is for all of my Angel Babies that have gone to heaven. I love you my precious babies – forever and always.

—-My dear Candy girl, I miss you so much. Thank you for taking care of me when I was a little girl. You taught me so much about love, friendship and loyalty. It’s been over 12 years now, but I still remember everything about you. I love you and know that you are in a better place now. One day we will be together again. You will always be in my heart.—
