Our CJ came to us as a puppy. He tore up couches, stole shoes from the neighbours, hid raw chicken legs all over the house and sometimes, ate our dinner off the countertop. He was a very loving, loyal, gentle dog who loved to go for long walks, swim at the lake, sleep on beds and sit all day on couches and chairs. He loved to be hugged, kissed and stroked and loved to give kisses in return.
Sadly, his back end gave in and he could no longer walk. This made him very sad because he used to follow mom all over the house and he loved it when she took him on his walks. He could no longer do any of those things. He couldn’t even turn around to get in a comfortable position. So, we could not bear to see him so frustrated and suffering any longer. He had started to cry which made us cry as well.
We had a doctor come to the house and that was so much more peaceful for him. He had a prime rib bone and was lying on a nice comfortable blanket. We cried, kissed, cuddled and talked to him the whole time.
Our hearts are empty right now and we keep looking for him on the couch and the bed. There is a void that aches inside us and a loneliness that is beyond comprehension.
I know he is at peace now but we miss him so much. We will all be together again one day. Until that day, we love you CJ and we always will. You were our lovely boy and we will remember and hug you in our thoughts every day.
hugs and kisses from mom, dad and Curtis xxxxxxx
