Twelve years ago today I received you and your brother, and now today with a heavy heart I had to let you go. The choice was a very hard one, with each passing week, I seen you decline.
Four weeks ago the vet determined you had overactive thyroid, you were put on the best medicine, but nothing changed, the vet figures you had cancer that was eating away at your system thereby causing the thyroid to not work. I decided after many weeks that since things were not improving and the subtle differences each week, that I had to let you go with the grace and dignity that you deserved.
With much soul searching today I buried the Queen of my Heart with the dignity fitting royalty. You died in my arms before the vet even gave you the second needle. You passed away with such grace, and now I return you to freedom from pain.
I will always miss you.
