Copper by Anna, Kathy, Celina and Eugene / Mommy

Copper,

Since the day you came into our lives we have loved you ever so much. I remember the day we met at the St Catharines Humane Society. You were 4 1/2 years old. You won us over with your charm and happiness. The second I laid eyes on you, I knew you were coming home with me that day. Indeed, you did.

We had eight magnificent years together. None of us expected you to get sick and leave us in the single day it took. I will always remeber the fun times we had. I still have the hazelnut you brought me last year. All the photos we have of you and us together will be cherished. Your memory will always live on. We love you and miss you. I hated seeing you the way you were in the hospital but we were all there for you. We love you. I will never stop saying how much we love you. I will do my best to say good morning and good night to you every day. You’re the love of my life, my best friend, my confidante.

It still tears my heart up to know you’re gone. You’ll have your yellow rose in the spring as promised so long ago. You always knew that we would never leave you far from home. Don’t ever forget us. Wait for us.
We’ll be there soon.

Until the day we see each other again
