When we woke up this morning,
Our hearts were aching.
We were used to you nudging,
And your sloppy kisses awaking.
Even though your life with us was brief,
You made such an impact,
We are overwhelmed with grief.
We have to go on without you,
But please remember our love for you was true.
And even though this loss is tearing us apart,
Memories of you will always stay close to our heart.
