Edison we miss you more than can be told.
It’s so sad to lose you before you had grown old.
No more will you place your little head on our lap.
In our hearts and our home there’ll be a huge gap.
To Pascal and myself you were a faithful companion.
Fetch and tug-of-war are no longer as much fun.
The smarts of your namesake you may not have possessed,
But to all whom you met, you were the sweetest.
Your innocent spirit the Lord has embraced.
In heaven one day we’ll see your sweet face.
