I always said Eli was the best thing I ever bought for $15. That’s what his old owners charged me to take him even though they didn’t care about him at all. All it took was one look into his sad little eyes and I was hooked! He burrowed his little head into my legs and I said “I’ll take him.” He was with me ever since. Eli was a very particular cat. The only two people that Eli really liked were my husband and me. He would tolerate my mother-in-law because when she took care of my cats she always brought turkey! He’ll be forever remembered as my “little old man” and “Stingray” because the tabby pattern on his back reminded me of that animal. He was very accident prone so I joked that he was half Japanese Bobtail (from an accident that left him with 3/4 of a tail) and half Scottish fold(from an accident with his ear). These left him looking a little weird but he was the nicest cat ever. He gave great back massages (and sometimes head massages). He hated to be picked up but he loved to lie on your back at night or purr into your ear while lying on the pillow. He loved to drink from a water fountain or the faucet and had the world’s most annoying meow. He’ll be forever missed!
