My darling Toby
Mummy misses you so much. I miss all our cuddles. You were a very special boy. All winter I promised you that when the summer came I would take you down to live by the sea for the summer. We would have had such fun. Now I can’t take you. I will take Lassie but I wanted to take you as well. I know that every day while on the beach I will picture you there enjoying yourself and I will feel so sad. This is the first promise I made you that I am unable to keep. While you are in heaven I want you to do something for me will you look around for a border collie called Laddie. When you find him tell him who you are. You may not remember him but you lived with Laddie for the first few months of your life. I know he didn’t like you very much but it was because he was very old. He won’t hurt you. He will love you for me until I am able to hold you again. I will never forget you. You were mummys precious boy. I loved you so much. I have some of your lovely fur in a locket around my neck close to my heart because that is where you will always stay. Lassie misses you too but not as much as I do. God bless you my darling little boy and thank you for all the love you gave to me. Rest in peace until mummy comes for you. Be happy. You have nothing to be afraid of in heaven.
