Chow Chow

I will never forget the first day I met you.

My husband had a uncle who found you wandering

the streets of Sacramento CA and took you to his house.

He ran ads but no one claimed you.

He knew we had rescue Chows and called to see if we would take one more.

Of course the answer was YES.

He came to our home and you jumped out of his truck and

came running over to me.

You stood on your hind legs and put your paws on my shoulders

just like you were hugging me.

For a moment I thought you were going to eat me. (chuckle)

The first night I kept you separated from me

as I closed the bedroom door.

I woke in the morning to see you had chewed up the chair.

I figured out real quick you were a people dog and

did not like to be separated from your human.

I NEVER closed the door again and

you NEVER chewed up anything again.

At the time you came to live with us we had 4 other rescue Chows.

They weighed from 48 pounds to 58 pounds and you weighed 97 pounds.

You watched over them and me.

You never caused them or me a moment of fear.

That is why I call you the gental Giant.

I thank you for letting me be your human and

for sharing your life with me.

I miss you so and think of you everyday.

Play in God’s heaven with Mama Bear And Chewey and

wait for me and the rest of your 4 legged family to join you.

Max you were AMAZING

truly an angel sent to me from God.

I love you and miss you so very much.
