Here is the story of my beloved puppy Grimlin.
Some people say there is no such thing as love at first sight but for this case it was different. The day they brought grimlin home was one of the happiest days of my life. Since the beginning there has always been a special connection between the two of us.
I remember I was about 6 at the time and it was Christmas eve and, I had no idea what a great gift I was about to receive. We were all ready to go to our annual family Christmas party when my dad said he needed some help getting something out of the car. I gladly stopped what I was doing and followed him out side. We went to his car and he opened the door and a huge dog popped and licked me in the face. It was grimlin with a huge red bow wrapped around his neck. I was so happy I had finally gotten what I had wanted for so long my very own puppy. Of course we were around the same size but to me he was still my puppy.
I thought to my self wow he’s the most beautiful dog in the world. He had the most beautiful light blonde coat. It was so light it almost looked white. He had the pointiest ears I have ever seen and, most of all he had the most beautiful honey brown eyes I had ever seen. He was perfect.
After that we were the two musketeers. We were always together. He always seemed to be keeping a eye on me. He would even try to protect me when he felt I was threatened. When we would be playing in the yard and a stranger would walk by us he would stand in front of me until he was sure I was safe. He always made sure that there was no fighting because he hated that the most. He would bark at who ever would fight until they stopped.You could say he was the Peace keeper of the house.
A few years later he became very Sore because of arthritis which made it difficult to walk. So one day we took him to the vet and they said that he was in alot of pain so my parents made the difficult decision of putting him to sleep. I was devastated, but after i learned that it was his time to go to heaven i felt a lot better. I knew that god would take care of him and that he would always watch over me. I still have not forgotten him to this very day, and I hope I never will. He was my best friend and he will always be in my heart and the hearts of my family.
