This is a story about the most precious little ANGEL TOY POODLE NAMED JESSI. JESSI was my birthday present from my husband JOSEPH. MY heart melted when I FIRST MET MY LITTIE BUNDLE OF JOY. THIS ADORABLE PUPPY WAS THE GREATEST GIFT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED IN THIS LIFE…JESSI was born with Hydrocephalis excessive water in His Brain..WE did not know this at first until eleven days later when We took Jessi to a Vet..Words can not express the way OUR HEARTS FELT. TO hear something this HORRIBLE would make ANY DOG LOVERS ILL..
JESSI was placed on three types of medications and WE hoped and Prayed that OUR BABY BOY would Live a Long and Healthy Life as long as JESSI was tolerating these meds..WE were told by two different VETS that as long as the meds work that JESSI should do fine. Both my husband and I thought positive thoughts and prayed that JESSI would be with us for a long time.
For about three months JESSI did well.
The VET that was treating JESSI told us to stop all of JESSIS meds. WE were both very supprised at first as to why THIS VET would tell us to do this. After all He was the one that placed JESSI on the meds and said JESSI would be on them for LIFE..Both of us really trusted this vet because he treated our Cat kindly.
By looking at JESSI you could never tell that he was sick JESSI was so playful and loveable and He loved Everyone. INCLUDING His brother OUR CAT DAKOTA.. Jessi was OUR PRIDE and JOY. On December fifth 2002, JESSI had five seisures in a row at home. WE called the vet and WE were told to give JESSI some phenobarbitol that We had from a couple of months ago. JESSI DID NOT feel better from the medicine. WE rushed to the Vet’s office in real bad weather to get HELP for OUR BABY. The vet did not seem as concerned about JESSI as WE WERE. The vet gave JESSI an injection of phenobarbitol intermuscularly.
And sent us on our way home.
ONE HOUR To the minute. JESSI had a grandmal seisure that also caused him severe discomfort with breathing. We called the vet again who again showed no major concern for JESSI’S sake. We started a nebulizer treatment at home to help JESSI breath..THIS HELPED. The so called vet even agreed and said he would have never thought of that.
WE Rushed back to the vet’s office this time the vet had a prefilled needle with what we believed to be Ketamine..When we asked what was in the syringe We were IGNORED. I tried to grab the ampule and the vet grabbed it quickly. He claimed that it was PHENOBARBITOL. But We both suspected different. This poor excuse of a vet did not even have oxygen for OUR BABY TO HELP HIM BREATH..
This vet was very nervous and shakey. As if he had done wrong. Then he told US that WE had to leave due to his driveway needing snow plowing..We were both so angry at this guy and so distraught over Our JESSIS Condition. The vet told US to go home and led US to believe that JESSI would be ALL RIGHT..JESSI was left alone in that evil vet’s kennel. WE were deceived that’s saying it mildly.
WE stayed up all night. THEN at SEVEN THIRTY a.m. We received the call that anyone with a HEART would DRED..OUR PRECIOUS BABY BOY TOY POODLE had DIED…..THERE are NO WORDS to express Our Grief..JESSI DIED ALONE at an INHUMANE VETS HOSPITOL…
WE WILL NEVER REST UNTIL JUSTICE FOR JESSI PREVAILS…. PLEASE REMEMBER OUR BELOVED JESSI and check out Breeders and their References along with veterinarians..TO SAVE YOURSELF a BROKEN HEART LATER…IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE NEGLECT…ON THE VETS PART OUR JESSI MAY HAVE STILL BEEN WITH US TODAY…GOD BLESS OUR JESSI….)
