Jobe

He was a cocker spaniel I had picked up as a stray

at the local convenience store.

Me and my two kids brought him home and I took him

to the vets to get his shots etc.. .

My vet did a blood test to check for heart worms and

because she estimated his age at about 2 or so he

had active heart worms and she told me that there was

nothing we could do (except administer drugs to try and

kill those heart worms that I could not afford) she said

just give him a good home which me my hubby and

my two kids did for the next 5 yrs. or so.

Anyway,, about the 1st week of Dec. he began coughing alot

not eating and the “look” in his eyes told me that it his time to go .

So on Dec. 5th 1998,,, me and my daughter took him to vet

and she told me there was nothing we could do,,,, his

organs were failing and it was best to put him to sleep.

Me and my daughter (age 11) said our good-byes and

we could not bear to stay and watch

(we cried so hard while at vets and driving home ) .

I brought him back home to bury him the following

Monday for I just couldn’t do it that day.

He lies buried in my back yard now and everyday

I think of him and miss him so very much!

I cry as I read the tribute pages and while writing this .

I miss him so much!

How did I ever know it would hurt this much!

Thanks for letting me share my story.

We miss you Jobe so !!!!!!!!
