I remember the first day I saw you.
A co-worker had brought some puppies to work that needed homes.
I looked down in the box and in the corner was this very
small black curly puppy. I picked you up and we immediately bonded.
I made sure that I held on to you. I told Tina I wanted this one.
Being the only female in a house of all men I said this is going to be
great and I will call you “Lady”. That afternoon we went home.
We surprised everyone.
You became not just a pet but a member of our family.
We became your mom dad and brothers.
Dad and brother Bryan taught you all kinds of tricks.
You could go get whatever toy that we would name.
You protected Dad’s doves that he used for his magic shows.
Your favorite snack was popcorn.
Before it started popping you would get so excited.
And of course when you heard the name orange crush it would
make you dance and dance.
You would take turns sleeping on your brother’s backs.
The family began to expand and the brothers got married and
the grandchildren came. You were just wonderful with all the
squeezing from the grand kids. You loved for them to chase you
and play pull toy with you.
The best thing was when they would drop goodies on the
floor or share their food. We began to spend more time together.
You were by “Lady Baby”.
While Dad worked in the evenings we would play watch tv
snack and just enjoy each others company.
Before we knew it you had been with us 12 years but the
old back knees begin to not move so well.
The hearing just wasn’t what it used to be the eyes
were filming over and finally the old heart had to work hard
and breathing was labored.
So we let you go. . .
You will always be our Lady Baby.
Love Forever
From your family
Mom Dad Bryan Chris Kevin Ryan
and the entire family.
