Dog

Lehua loved to go for a ride in my small truck.

I got a camper shell on the back so that she would be comfortable.

Protected from the wind or rain she went with me.

One day I went into the local K-Mart. I told her to stay and watch the truck

as I always did. I closed the back of the camper shell and went inside.

Lehua was a mixture of Great Dane and Huskey with beautiful blue eyes.

She had the markings of a Huskey but the body of a Great Dane.

Just imagine this dog opening the hatch and coming into K-mart to find me.

I was only in there 5 minutes when I heard an announcement on the

intercom to meet my party in the electronics department.

A friend of mine had her sitting next to the register waiting for me.

Lehua did this a second time when she approached the grocery store.

The doors of the store were automatic she just walked in.

She put her nose to the floor and came right to me.

The store had gotten very quiet I wondered what was going on.

I looked up to see her running towards me. The customers thought she

was so sweet. They smiled and applauded.

As I was putting her back into my truck a woman came up to us.

She said ” That dog really loves you!” with tears in my eyes I said ”

I know I love her too!

This really helps to be able to tell you one of the many stories

of my dog “Lehua”.

She always made me smile I hope this will make

you smile too.
