My darling Lily, you did not live with us for very long, but you brought so much love and joy in that short time that I feel you had been with us a lifetime. I fell in love with you the first day we met, when you rolled over and showed your belly. Your sweet cheeks went to my heart. You have been a wonderful and amazing teacher. Even after years of neglect, you trusted us, complete strangers to love you. And you loved us back, your heart is an ever ending well.
You have taught me courage, trust, patience and most of all love. Your gentle and sweet nature impacted everyone you met. Even when you were sick this year, you showed such spirit and guidance, courage and style. You are an amazing spirit and I know you have finally found peace and you can now roam nature as free and wild as the wind. You loved nature and outdoors and now you forever play in nature. Your spirit was beautiful and gentle and yet so free. We will always love you little Lily, your sweetness and my love for you goes way deep. You will live on forever in my heart and your daddy’s heart.
