Max by Katherine / Katie

He was a happy dog, but we started to notice he wasn’t eating. We took him to the vet. They said he had a blockage. We started to see signs of it clearing, but he wasn’t out of danger. He started to bump into things.
He seemed disoriented.

My mom took him to the vet and they took a x-ray said he had stomach cancer that had spreaded to his brain. I remember that day. I asked my mom can I hold to the vets. She said yes. As we arrived I soon realized he won’t be coming home. The vet took us to a back room. She took the medicine out of bottle and ejected it into his leg. As the medicine took affect he started to slump. One thing that I still cry about is looking at his face when we left. His eyes were glazed over and was staring into nothing. When I got home that evening
there was no one there to greet me.

In Memory,
Max
