Midnight

1984 —– 1998

After my Midnight passed away I vowed to never get another dog.

Well a few days later a little wild hair terrier showed up at our door.

She stayed with us a few days. I felt that this was Midnights way of

telling me that he wanted me to have another dog.

Unfortunately the owner of the terrier claimed her but we

ended up buying an Australian cattle dog for my step son.

A couple of months later there was a lady at the grocery

store giving away Australian Shepherds.

Her husband was going to have the puppies put down the next day.

I couldn’t refuse one. I immediately named him Shadow.

At that is what he is. He is my shadow and has so many traits

of my Midnight that I often find myself calling him Midnight.

Any way Shadow goes everywhere with me.

I am going blind and Shadow is so good at watching out for me.

He knows his commands pretty good for being a pup and he

even picks things up from the floor for me.

He’s not even a year old yet.

After Midnight passed I had a dream that he was

sitting at God’s feet.

The dream was just as plain as day.

Love,

Rosie
