Missy Prancer by Merrily & Bill / Mom & Dad (Merrily & Bill)

Goodbye our Beloved Missy Prancer. With heavy hearts; and a tear in our eyes we must say goodbye sweetie. You made it just short of 13 years old our dear friend.

You’ve been a gentle giant all your years, always willing to please. The best canine friend and companion anyone could ever have. Chasing footballs and throw toys were your passion. Then in the last two years of your life you became ill with a tumor on the spleen, and couldn’t run or play anymore. Doctors only gave you a short few months to live, but you survived to almost two years later, much to their surprise.

Please understand Missy; we’ve done all we could for you with medications and all for pain. If there was anything we could have done; you know we would. I’m sitting right here; gently rubbing your ears while I talk to you softly; trying to hold back the tears.

You are hurting so badly because of the tumor the Doctors could not remove, we know what we must do. It will be the hardest decision we have ever done in all our years. The memories you gave us; we’ll never forget, especially the one of the day we all met when you were just a new puppy.

One last huggy; and one last kiss, you have no idea; how much you’ll be missed. We look into your eyes; this one last time, Mom and Dad crying as you tell us it’s ok; you know it’s your time. Close your eyes now; and go to sleep and we’ll pray to the Lord; you’re soul he’ll keep. Go in peace now; our very beloved friend Missy Prancer, we’ll stay right here with you; until the end. Dream of that special day and time when we’ll meet at the Bridge; and all will be fine. We’ll run and play; side by side with a soft warm feeling; deep down inside. Your memory will live on; in both of us. You’ll always be number 1; to us. Have a safe journey; through the night. I promise when you awake; you’ll be in God’s light, our prayers will always be with you.

So with heavy hearts; and tears in our eyes, just for now Missy Prancer; we say, not goobye, but “til we meet again”, we’ll never forget you.

With All Our Love
Missy Prancer
