Molly

Cat

Molly was a very photogenic kitty.

From her pictures taken by her family I could tell she was one SPECIAL kitty

that I HOPED and DREAMED that I would one day be able to meet.

She was also a very shy kitty and if anyone OTHER than her family were

around you could be sure to find her in one of her usual SAFE hiding places.

My favorite hiding place of hers was dubbed “Lump O Kitty” which was just

Molly under the bed covers thus the name.

I would sometimes go over Molly’s house to help her family do a little cleaning.

While I cleaned I made sure to sing a little “Molly” song.

(Molly’s Mom said she sang to her when Molly was in distress and it relaxed her)

I made up a “Molly” song which was sung to the tune of a

“When the Saints go marching on” – don’t ask why that tune it just was.

Finally after SEVERAL visits I was in the front room and I took a peek

over my shoulder and from my peripheral vision I could see a

little “kitty” WAY DOWN the hallway just sitting in the doorway peeking out.

Not sure what I should do I began singing my “Molly” tune and

headed for the kitchen. I pretended I was cleaning out the refrigerator.

Then I closed the refrigerator door and THERE WAS MOLLY.

NOW I feel I am SO CLOSE YET SO FAR AWAY.

Carefully I reached for her catnip and put some down for her right in front of me.

She looked at me eyed the catnip looked at me again and then WENT

for the catnip. Slowly carefully I reached down to touch the soft kitty

body I only had seen in pictures. I DID IT.

The pictures could not describe the incredibly soft fluffy kitty body

that my hand FINALLY had the pleasure of touching.

IT WAS THE BEST FEELING!!!!!

Molly will always be the most Precious KITTY and will always

hold a special place in my heart.
