Those warm green eyes
like liquid pools of love gazed into mine.
No word is said the bond between us,
means much more than words
and still deep down in my bitter grief.
I tell myself it's for the best.
You can not know the agony,
The tears on my pillow at night
knowing you are gone.
Never forgotten will be our trust,
or the look you would give me as you'd lick my hand.
