A friendly face to look to, when things got bad
A cheery kiss to greet me, when i was sad
You never complained once, although in pain
It hung on, as a ball and chain.
You never once bit, never once fought,
You soothed me, and every one of my tears was caught
You never paused to question, or to spread strife
You deserved such a long, full life
You loved us with such an unconditional love
In just four years, so many memories to be proud of
Every day I’ll remember, and shed a tear
For every one of those wonderful four years
