My sweet little “alien” kitty Newt,
You came into my life in dire need of help. I was surprised and amazed that you actually let me pick you up from where you had entrenched yourself. Even with your large clumps of fur gone and sores all over, you were one of the most beautiful and unique creatures I’d ever seen. When I took you into the house to meet your “sister and 2 brothers”, you acted as if you had literally just found home and fit right in to a 4-cat household. You were the most affectionate cat of all. A lap and someone to pet you is all that you ever asked for. You used to drive the other cats crazy with how affectionate you were towards them…..always wanting to cuddle up with them, or make sure they were clean. You tolerated the Vet, Insulin shots, and periodic antibiotics like a champ! I hope the “treats” made it all at least semi-enjoyable. You were a true gem. 6 years you were with us. I wish I could have had you longer and I hope that wherever you are now, you are not feeling alone.
If there was some way, I would want you to know that I truly miss you and I wish I could have been able to say goodbye. There is real hurt, and a hole left in my heart and our house because of your absence which will never be filled. You were family to me, and I will never forget you.
