Phantom by Christina Bowhuis / Mom, Christina

After a lot of thinking, I decided to get two cats. Because of work, I thought a brother and sister would be perfect. I found two beautiful black and white kittens.

They played well together, and were so loving. My whole family loved them. Friends came over to see them. Phantom, my little girl was something else. She was the runt of the litter, but didn’t let that stop her. She had such gorgeous big eyes. She would expolore everything, and would greet me at the door when I came home.

At only four months of age, she passed away. I was getting ready for bed when her brother ran out of the kitchen scared. I went to see what was going on and thought Phantom was just getting sick. To my disbelief, it was so much more then that. Upon arrival to the emergency hospital, I found out my girl was gone. It is believed that something was wrong when she was born, and that a blood clot moved to her brain and
she had a seizure.

Phantom, I will never understand why you had to go at such a young age. I hope you weren’t in a lot of pain. Gypsy and I will always love you. You were one of a kind and will not be forgotten.

With love,
Phantom
