Poo by Walter & Kathy Barr / Love you always,

Mommy and Daddy

We had recently lost a dog and his name was Simba, my older son came in one day with Our Pooh-Bear. He was just a round ball of fur. He was supposed to be my dog, but ended up being my husband’s dog. We all loved him but he loved his Daddy. If he went to town Poo was right up in there ready to go, if he went to the restroom, Poo was not far behind. He made every step my husband did. We just couldn’t break him from wanting to run cars, we would spank him with the newspaper and he would stop for awhile but it would start all over again.

When I came home from town yesterday, Walter was sitting on the front porch and I could tell right away something was wrong, when I saw the tears I knew before asking what had happened. Poo ran a car and was hit and killed instantly. I am at least grateful he didn’t suffer, we are doing all the suffering. He would wake Walter up every night at the same time. He wanted out at 1am and 3am. It was almost like he could read the clock. Walter just had two stents put in his heart in October. Poo sat in his chair and couldn’t understand where his Daddy was.

I am so worried about Walter. He has gone to bed and seems to not want to get out. We have two other dogs and he doesn’t want to have anything to do with them now. He loved and worshiped Poo. They say time heals all so maybe in time he can move on. Poo I am so sorry I went to town, maybe if I had not gone you would still be here.

They had you buried before I got home so I didn’t get to tell you goodbye. I love you Poo and no other dog can ever replace you, you were one in a million. Dear God please take care of Poo, and one day we will meet again. We love you Poo and always will.

With Precious Memories and Much Love
