I had a cat named RandyAnn who lived to be 16 years old. Recently I had
to put her down. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I loved her dearly and the
event was so painful. I now have her buried in my backyard.
I could not bear to just leave her behind at the vets.
I got RandyAnn when I saw an advertisement for 6 week old kittens in the
local newspaper. I picked her from the rest of her siblings because she was the
one who came over right away and ‘asked’ to be taken home.
I trained her to come by using a whistle. Also whistling different tunes
meant feeding time… and she knew it!! One of my whistling songs was
the Campbell Soup jingle… Mm Mm Good. She knew that meant feeding time.
Also if I was crying she would come over and rub against me and try to
comfort me in her own way. I miss her desperately and I think about her
often and shed a tear as I dust her picture off.
She was a great cat and I will never forget her and will remember her and
grieve for her forever.
