For nearly 17 years you were the center of our life. You were our “baby girl”. Now that you’re gone, the emptiness is almost unbearable. Our hearts are breaking. We know you don’t want us to be sad, but we are. We cry alot because you’re not here anymore. We can’t see you in the morning, can’t give you kisses, can’t snuggle with you, or hear your big purrs. We miss having you here to talk to. No more “good mornings” or “good nights”. Or “See you later!” when we leave, and “There’s our baby!” when we come home. You were our joy, our comfort, and our best friend. We love you very much, Rascal, and we are so proud of you. You were brave and a “good kitty” until the very end.
When you left for heaven, a huge part of us went with you. A hole was made that we’ll never be able to completely fill. There will never be another kitty cat as special as you. But don’t be sad for us, Rascal. We have many happy memories of you to brighten our days. The games we’d play- hide & seek, peek-a-boo, and “Ready?”(the marshmallow game.)The way you’d get so excited when we’d say “Where’s mommy?” or “Daddy’s home!”, and you’d come prancing to the door to meet us- or “Where’s the birdie?” and your tail would whip and you would “talk” as we held you by the window to watch the birds outside. How you loved seeing warm towels come out of the dryer. How you would lay on our bed all curled up in the sunshine. Or the funny way you would flop over and look at us when we asked “How cute are you?”. These are only a few of our countless special memories of you, Rascal. You filled each day with happiness, friendship, and love, and we will cherish
every one we had with you.
In time the hurt and loneliness will subside, but we will never, ever forget you. You will always be in our hearts. You’ll be “Daddy’s girl” and “Mommy’s guardian angel” for ever and ever. We love and miss you “very very much much”, Rascal. Some day you’ll come running to greet us again with big purrs, and your “waggy waggy” proudly waving.
