Rocky by Jenny Barnes / The Barnes Bunch

Rocky came into my life when I first moved away from home. We started our new life together. In a short time span, I started a new job, traveled and moved in to new states. Rocky along side me the entire time. I never felt alone. There were plenty of challendges along the way. Rocky was always a friend to cry on and a even better friend to go swimming with. I called him the rock hunter. He was always looking for rocks in the water. when I married my husband, Rocky was very protective at first. Then learn to love every day we spent together as a family. Rocky was there through our two sons being born. In short Rocky is every apart of every great memory in my life.

Just before leaving town for Thanksgiving of 2007, Rocky was diagnosed with cancer around his anul saks and possibly other places. This quickly made it very hard for him to walk or be comfortable. We did every thing the Vet said to do to help him along. The Vet also said, you will know when he is tired of his fight against cancer. The Monday before he was put to sleep, we noticed he was not getting up very well. Almost falling over. He no longer wanted to go out side. I knew this was no way for my Rocky to live his life. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make. I just could not imagine him not being there any more.

The day came, we were to be at the Vet at 4:30pm. I took Rocky out for chicken nuggets, it was his favorite meal. We use to spend alot of time eating chicken nuggets on our moves from state to state. I then spent a good 30 minutes just thinking how I just can not say good bye to my guardian angel. We arrived at the vet I held Rocky tight. I said my good byes and saw him off to heaven. No matter how far away his spirit is, he will be right here in my heart forever.

You will alway be my guardian angel,
Rocky
